Copy Lab and Approval Gate

Bill Cuevas·May 2026·2 min read

What we accomplished

  1. We built Copy Lab phase 1. Ad copy now moves through a staged pipeline of research, mechanism, brief and brief aware copy, with a gate that blocks claims that are not substantiated.
  2. We added an approval gate with a pre flight check, an enable guardrail, and an admin preview page that shows the pre flight checks and the approval step.
  3. We built a deep sync with Google Ads. A campaign detail page and pause and enable controls now reach down to the ad group.
  4. We closed the loop on sales. Offline conversion uploads and a purchase conversion event send results back to the ad platform, and a health check cron watches each campaign.
  5. ShipKeeper gained a Shopify integration, a Tier 1 snippet install and a Phase 2 merchant dashboard.
  6. We built a trial storefront with cookie consent gating and a subscription plan per cart item.
  7. We consolidated card vaulting into one payment vault.
  8. We added a coverage audit gate and an integration test layer, so new controllers and pages cannot land without tests.

Copy Lab calls Claude for ad copy, and the approval gate turns our written procedure into a check the platform runs every time. The model proposes, a written rule decides.

In May the agent gained controls we trust. June gives it a hand on the budget. Need an agent with controls built in? That is our work.
