An Agent That Manages Bids

Bill Cuevas·June 2026·2 min read

What we accomplished

  1. We built an autonomous bid manager. Adley can execute its own in guardrail recommendations on an hourly cycle. Every campaign starts in recommend only mode, and an operator promotes it along an autonomy ladder.
  2. We added ten guardrails, a kill switch and audit records. Each action must pass ten guardrails, the tenth being an independent second AI review, and every decision is written down with its reasoning.
  3. We added hourly monitoring and day 10 lifetime value tracking, with an SMS alert when ad spend runs with zero sales.
  4. We integrated Microsoft Ads UET and msclkid, with a bring your own app OAuth flow and a command line bootstrap.
  5. We built unified analytics: a live view with a visitor timeline, GA4 parity events, and full funnel tracking.
  6. We built bulk refunds, wired to the real payment gateway with an audit trail.
  7. We sourced conversion labels from the ad platform API and keep them in the database.
  8. Pushes to the products under active development run type checks and tests on the code they change.

The latest AI we applied

June was our agent pattern at full strength. A model recommends, ten guardrails (the last an independent second AI review) gate the action, and an autonomy ladder lets operators give the agent more freedom as it earns it.

The platform now has an agent built to earn its autonomy. That is the kind of agent we build for clients.
